Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Proterate Team. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

The service

Proterate Team records employee attendance using a selfie and device location, validates it against a worksite geofence, and provides approval and reporting tools. It does not provide leave management, payroll, or shift scheduling.

Accounts and responsibilities

• You must provide accurate information and keep credentials secure.
• You are responsible for activity under your company’s account, including the accounts of employees you invite.
• As an employer, you are responsible for informing your staff that attendance is recorded, obtaining any consent required by law, and using the data lawfully. You must not use the service to monitor people covertly.

Plans and limits

The Free plan includes 1 worksite, up to 20 employees, and 7-day retention. Pro includes up to 5 worksites, up to 200 employees, 30-day retention, and priority support. If you exceed a limit, existing worksites and employees continue to work but you cannot add more until you upgrade or return under the limit.

Billing

Paid plans are billed through our payment processor on the cycle shown at checkout and renew until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.

Data retention

Selfies and location data are deleted automatically after the retention window for your plan. This is a product guarantee, not a setting — we cannot recover data past that window, and neither can you. Plan accordingly if you need longer records for compliance.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to break the law, infringe others’ rights, attempt to gain unauthorised access, disrupt the service, or resell it without our written agreement.

Availability and warranty

We work to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms. On termination, your data is deleted in line with our Privacy Policy.
